Kompuestos™ presents Exfill® high-performance mineral based concentrates. The Exfill® range of products is a new generation of mineral based concentrates developed by combining the latest developments and state-of-the-art technology.

​Thanks to the excellent dispersion and homogeneity of Exfill® products, the addition in a certain application can go as high as 70% of the final plastic packaging, which significantly helps in reducing the content of petroleum-derived polymers while maintaining and enhancing the mechanical properties of the packaging.

As defined by ISO 14021, the replenishment rate of calcium carbonate exceeds its consumption rate. Therefore, calcium carbonate meets the criteria for a renewable material. Approximately 4% of the Earth’s crust consists of calcium carbonate, making calcium carbonate one of the most common raw materials available in nature. All calcium carbonate grades of Exfill® products use natural sources such as limestone and marble.

In comparison to petroleum-derived polymers and other additives used in plastic production, using calcium carbonate can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the final packaging.
